About Us

Established in 1988, our mission is to maintain a residential community of outstanding excellence for the 43 homes within Stacy Woods. Located within the historic Village of Glen Ellyn, Stacy Woods is a one-mile walk to in-town shopping, dining and the commuter train station.

Schools

The Stacy Woods community is served by Glenbard Township High School District 87 (Glenbard West) and schools in Glen Ellyn District 41 including Forest Glen (grades K-5) and Hadley Junior High (grades 6-8).

Stacy Woods homeowners have multiple nearby options for activities and exploring within a short one-mile distance…easy to walk, bike, scooter, or even drive to favorite destinations including:

  • Stacy Park is just steps away and includes a playground, basketball court, skateboard facility and green, grassy space.
  • Lake Ellyn Park is a true community hub and is a short walk or bike ride away. The park features the iconic lake as its centerpiece which is surrounded by a large playground, walking path, Boathouse and more. Plus the location hosts numerous Park District community events such as a cardboard boat regatta, spectacular 4th of July fireworks, art fairs, winter pond ice skating and many other year round family activities. You can also catch a Glenbard West High School football game, marching band performance, track meet and other events at the campus (known as the ‘Castle on the Hill’) which is adjacent to Lake Ellyn Park.
  • Ackerman Park and Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center is a year-round destination as it features indoor and outdoor facilities for all ages. Indoors you will find rock climbing, basketball courts, turf fields, indoor track and much more. Outdoors you will find a kids playground, soccer fields, softball fields, and a walking track that circles the full property.
  • The Glen Ellyn Public Library calls itself a ‘vibrant center for information, learning and discovery’ and is located just over one-mile away. The community landmark houses excellent resources and programming for kids and adults.
  • Biking paths: explore the western suburbs by bike with easy access to two nearby trails — the Illinois Prairie Path and the Great Western Trail.
